Rixos Bab Al Bahr Celebrates 51st UAE National Day with a Variety of Festivities

Rixos Bab Al Bahr Hotel, Ras Al Khaimah, offers UAE families the ultimate getaway with a stunning activity and entertainment line-up to celebrate UAE National day, 2022.

UAE residents are expecting a four-day weekend for National Day next month. Rixos Bab Al Bahr in Ras Al Khaimah, today announces its National Day programme. On 2nd December 2022, the resort will immerse itself in the culture of the United Arab Emirates exhibiting the country’s local culture, history, crafts and traditions.    

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted in true Emirati spirit with traditional refreshments in the lobby. Outside, local musicians and live bands will set the atmosphere, playing traditional music accompanied by the Al Ayala Folk Dance – one of the best-known traditional dances in the country. 

The Rixy Kids Club will keep your children entertained with a variety of games and educational activities throughout the day. Activities include oyster picking, in honour of Ras Al Khaimah's pearl diving heritage, where kids can select an oyster following a traditional boat ceremony then stand a chance of finding precious pearls inside!

In the activity line-up, traditional workshops offer a taste of local arts and crafts with artisans specialising in; yarn, broom, al khous, leekh, burqa, gargoor and pottery, demonstrating their respective skills live across the resort. In addition, a museum showcasing the rich fishing and pearl diving history of the country will be featured. 

Other activities guests can look forward to include; camel rides, falconry handling, roaming artists and special inflatable characters to interact and take selfies with.      On the culinary side, guests can look forward to a five-star Arabic buffet spread including popular dishes like Harees, Majboos and Luqaimats.
