(RIF) appointed by CISI as its official training partner in Saudi Arabia

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is pleased to announce that it has accredited the Riyadh Institute of Finance, a specialised financial training institute in Saudi Arabia, to provide training for CISI’s wealth management and investment certificate in the Kingdom.

The CISI’s International Certificate in Wealth & Investment Management meets the needs of those firms who want to confirm that their staff are able to provide high-quality advice. The qualification will ensure that wealth managers and advisers based in Saudi Arabia understand the range of assets and investment products that are available in the market, and that their skills are continuously updated to suit the needs of the ever-changing market. The qualification covers the essentials of financial planning, private client asset management, fund management and advisory functions. It is an entry level qualification for international candidates working in private banking and wealth management roles.

Commenting on the partnership, Matthew Cowan, Regional Director of CISI Middle East, said: “We are very pleased to be working with the RIF which has demonstrated excellent capability and expertise to offer the CISI’s world class accreditations to financial professionals. The agreement with the RIF is a significant step to ensure those in the financial services industry in the Kingdom can avail of high quality training to attain CISI qualifications.”
Majid Dajani, Executive Director of RIF added, “RIF is delighted to be the accredited trainer partner for CISI in the Kingdom. We believe a course such as the wealth management and investment certificate is crucial in helping younger Saudi professionals to gain skills which will enable them to pursue a career in the securities and investment industry and contribute to the Kingdom’s economy.”

Established in 2007, CISI’s Middle East operation, headquartered in Dubai, has made a significant contribution to the professionalism of the financial services industry across the region. In its latest financial year, almost 4,000 exams were taken in the Middle East. These exams cover a range of subjects from Islamic Finance and Wealth Management to Compliance and Risk, with exams available in both English and Arabic.
