Rasasi Perfumes, one of the leading perfume brands in the Middle East, announced the launch of Sotoor, a new series of modern oriental fragrances in all stores across United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
The unisex line boasts four evocative variants - Seen, Taa, Waaw and Raa – together forming the word Sotoor that translates to a line of Arabic writing. Inspired by simplicity, the day-to-night scents are distinct and easy to pinpoint while maintaining Rasasi’s signature complexity in the background.
Seen elicits a gentle, glowing and precious impression. The fruity top notes of pear and guava are supported by floral orange flower and rose middle notes to stimulate a sense of brightness.
The spices in Taa such as cardamom and pink pepper incite a fresh energy to the wearer, with darker base notes of amber and cedarwood to further awaken one’s senses.
Waaw pays homage to the more traditional, oud fragrances from the region, with an assortment of woody and strong base notes such as sandalwood, cedarwood and gaiac wood.
Raa prides itself on fresh and floral notes, but also stands out as an iconic new product in the market. The uniqueness of the mix allows the scent to evolve from a citrusy hint of lemon to a sweet jasmine note.
Priced at AED 150 for 100 ml, the Sotoor line provides four unique fragrances that have a universal appeal.
Salim Kalsekar, Managing Director of Rasasi Perfumes, said: “We are extremely excited about the launch of Sotoor as this line is especially unique to Rasasi’s current portfolio. With inspiration from vivid and beautiful aspects of nature, our team has innovatively crafted fragrances for everyone, regardless of gender, occassion or time of day. We look forward to seeing how our customers respond to this exclusive new collection of fragrances.”
With almost four decades of experience in blending scents that celebrate the rich tapestry of the Middle East and GCC, Rasasi prides itself on having an unrivalled knowledge of the finest traditions of Oriental perfumery.
