Saud Bin Saqr Establishment For Youth Enterprises Development (RAK-SME) has been named bronze winner of a Company of the Year category at The Stevie Awards’ 14th Annual International Business Awards (IBAs). RAK-SME was competing in the ‘Non-Profit or Government Organizations - Small & Medium Size’ category.
The Award was presented to H.E. Yousef Esmaeel, Chairman of RAK-SME’s Supreme Committee, in a ceremony in Barcelona earlier this month. Commenting on the Award, Mr. Esmaeel said, “To be a winner of this award was a big challenge for us, and for our organization it’s our objective to be always on stage.” Mr. Esmaeel has subsequently had an audience with H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to receive his congratulations.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards programme. All individuals and organizations worldwide - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. The 2017 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories.
The Judging Committee described RAK-SME as “…a great organisation. Training is imparted to youth for development of small and medium enterprises to improve skill in business,” and went onto say that RAK-SME’s annual review gave great insight into what had been achieved over the last year.
A record total of more than 3,900 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
“The IBA judges from across the world were highly impressed with the nominations they reviewed this year. With the level of achievement documented in the nominations from 60 nations, the Stevie Awards are proud to honor organizations that demonstrate a high level of achievement in a variety of industries” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
