The Riyadh-based King Saud Foundation (KSF) has announced its humanitarian activities as well as projects for the welfare of Saudi citizens.
In a statement, Prince Mishaal bin Saud, foundation president, said KSF’s activities are in accordance with
the vision of the late King Saud bin Abdulaziz.
“The foundation was established to carry out the late King Saud’s vision on the eradication of poverty, ignorance and sickness,” said Prince Mishaal, also member of the Allegiance Pledge Commission.
He added that the foundation is a non-government organization and will work in accordance with the strategic plans of the Saudi government.
“The foundation aims to pursue projects on economic , social and cultural developments of the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman,” he said.
He added that the foundation will also undertake projects approved by the board of trustees with regards to the establishment of business ventures that benefit civil societies in general.
KSF will organize cultural and social activities, conferences, workshops, seminars and exhibitions and participate in projects with humanitarian and environmental significance.
Explaining the reasons for the foundation’s establishment , Prince Mishaal said, “ We are the late King Saud’s children, grandchildren and citizens and we’re following after him.”
He added that “we’re following a noble approach to
realize the goals of the foundation.”
He noted that this is in accordance with the Saudi security and stability that have been achieved under the leadership of King Salman, adding that “the local economy is stable and growing steadily.”
Added Princess Fahda bint Saud, one of the foundation’s founding members, “The foundation aims a good leadership for the country such as we have at present.”
She added that “we also thank the foundation’s shareholders for paying their annual dues to the King Saud Foundation.”
“The formation of the foundation also reflects the bond among the family members and that it encourages community development on the basis of the holy Qur’an,” she said.
