Princess Doaa bint Mohammed Hosts Iftar for 300 Orphans

Jeddah-Her Highness Princess Doaa Bint Mohammed, the United Nations Ambassador of Peace for Children hosts an Iftar Dinner for 300 orphans at Almasah Celebration Hall on 16th Ramadan to share joy and happiness with orphans in the holy month of Ramadan. Prominent businesswomen, charitable and volunteer leaders also graced the ceremony with their presence.

The event was arranged in order to spread a message of peace for orphans as it is our moral and religious responsibility to observe rights of orphans and support them in their upbringing in the light of teachings of Islam and keeping directions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia intact in this regard.

The ceremony started with the recitation of Quranic Verses and Royal greetings followed by a speech from Princess Doaa bint Mohammed. The Princess said: “There is no doubt that the value and importance of caring for orphans is a fundamental pillar of Islam and Islamic society”. She informed that under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman governmental as well as private institutions are supporting these children who are with us today.

Princess Doaa prayed that may Iftar arrangement for orphans and presence of royal guests, here in this evening, may please the children. She further said that sustainable development can be achieved with social work but it requires an organized and dedicated struggle.

While addressing organizers and volunteers, she also said that our hard work pays off as we see smile on the faces of these Children.   

During the ceremony, there were performances of volunteer children to entertain the audience. Later, the performers were awarded with gifts and souvenirs. In an informal session, Princess Doaa met with orphans and took photos with them to share happiness and love among them.

It is noteworthy that princess Doaa bint Mohammed is the spouse of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Turki Al Saud, is one of the leading pioneers of community, has been doing charitable and humanitarian work, is an influential figure in the Arab world, is the UN Ambassador of Peace for Children and is the Ambassador of Peace and Human Rights. She is also a Goodwill Ambassador for Humanitarian Action and Sustainable Development from the Arab Development Council for Women & Business and has a societal role in various fields including supporting children with cancer, orphans and elderly women. She is also supporting community relations for development and is maintaining charitable initiatives.
