Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has launched “Mobily Customers” project to support Disabled Children’s Association; for this purpose, a unified number 5050 has been allocated to the charity and all proceeds from donations through the code will be channeled towards “Khair Makkah” project. The Agreement, in this regard was signed between HRH Prince Sultan, Chairman of Disabled Children’s Association and Mobily CEO at Al Faisaliah Hotel as part of the Second National Forum for recruiting disabled people, in the presence of a large number of company officials, members of board and directors and members of the charitable association. HRH appreciated the role being played by Mobily in terms of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Mobily CEO Ahmed Farroukh said "We are grateful to His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman for his appreciation of Mobily’s initiatives in the area of CSR; we are also happy to be among the patrons and sponsors of the association " and added "we are keen to help overcome all obstacles and support the Association with their mission. We will also play our part in motivating different segments of society to contribute to the success of this and similar projects. We are proud to be a part of this society and we believe that as a responsible corporate citizen, it is important for us to remain engaged with the community and provide as much support from our end as possible."
Mobily customers can send 1 to the number 5050 to provide monthly support to the initiative with contribution of 12 riyals, or send 5 to 5050 to support the khair Makkah project with 12 riyals per month; customers can also send 11 to 5050 to donate on behalf of their parents or send a blank message to 5050 to donate 10 riyal for one time only.
The service will enable Mobily customers to help support Khair Makkah project and to facilitate the Disabled children; the proceeds will help in building and developing 6 residential and care centers for provision of integrated system of treatment and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
