Physique TV launches special Ramadan programs

Physique TV, the region’s first and only 24 hour HD television channel dedicated to fitness, healthy living, lifestyle, combat and extreme sports, launches its Ramadan special programming under the theme ‘Healthy Ramadan Kareem’. During this season, people tend to adapt unhealthy habits of overeating during iftar, not eating the right food and discontinuing their regular fitness activities. With Physique TV’s ‘Healthy Ramadan Kareem’ programming, these habits are addressed with a variety of thematic segments and shows that aim to promote essential information on eating and staying healthy this season.

During the month of Ramadan, Physique TV will broadcast bespoke programs on health, fitness and food namely, ‘Ramadan Health and Fitness Tips’, ‘Ramadan segment on What’s Up? and Shoufi Mafi’ and the banner daily program ‘Ramadan Healthy Dishes’. “This period is special for all of our brothers and sisters in faith, we are one with the community in observing this holy month. As part of our Ramadan programming, we will focus on the most important aspects of daily living in terms of eating healthy and active lifestyle, which is why we came up with these TV offerings,” shares Peter Einstein, General Manager, Physique TV.

Ramadan Healthy Dishes
Hosted by Reem Hussaini, Ramadan Healthy Dishes is the highlight of Physique TV’s Ramadan specials. Physique TV meets up with renowned chefs around the city to discover how to create a healthy spin on traditional Arabic dishes. Everyone can learn fresh and appetizing recipes every day from the Arabic show which presents healthy versions of both traditional and modern Ramadan dishes. This airs from Sundays to Thursdays, every 4pm KSA with repeats every 9PM, 2AM and 9AM KSA.

Ramadan Health and Fitness Tips
Every hour, Physique TV will show a variety of health and fitness tips especially targeted to people who are fasting. These tips will guide people on how to continue their normal activities even when fasting. The Ramadan Health and Fitness tips will provide essential information on active lifestyle and will be aired in between key programs of Physique TV, and integrated on the TV channel’s news magazine shows, What’s Up? (English) and Shoufi Mafi (Arabic).

What’s Up and Shoufi Mafi Ramadan Segment
Physique TV’s What’s Up? and Shoufi Mafi will feature special segments on popular food during Ramadan. Nutritionist and Fit Chef Shoo Laziz co-host Dana Al-Nemeh will showcase different types of food people eat during the holy month and highlight their nutritional value. For the first week, Dana will look at one of the common food practices - eating dates. She will highlight the nutrition people get from dates and its importance during the breaking of fast. What’s Up airs at 7PM KSA and Shoufi Mafi at 10.30PM KSA every Thursdays.


Physique TV is available on Arabsat via My-HD platform, and through du channel 409 and Etisalat elife channel 577 in the UAE, channel 77 & 78 on Intigral in Saudi Arabia, and Ooredoo channel 730 in Qatar.
