Founded by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the event provides an intimate environment for collectors, brands, watchmakers and members of the media to interact and share knowledge. Held under the Patronage of Her Highness “Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum”, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the DWW continues to be the most anticipated event of its kind attracting top visitors and watch enthusiasts.
This year’s theme being “classic & contemporary”, two major adjectives that symbolizes Panerai’s iconic collections: the Radiomir & the Luminor, make the DWW the perfect regional platform to collaborate with and reveal the latest watch collection to industry experts. This includes the recently launched Luminor Due collection, inspired by the Luminor case of the 1950s but elegantly redesigned to be the thinnest and most versatile line created by Panerai. Four new models will be revealed this year: two of which come in a 42mm diameter and a power reserve of three days in a titanium case with a blue strap and in a red gold case with an ivory dial and a finely skeletonized movement. In addition, two others in a 45mm diameter in a steel and titanium case with a P.4000 in house caliber, only 0.5 mm thick, almost 40% less than the models of the same diameter in the Luminor 1950 collection.
To pay tribute to its Swiss horological expertise, two exclusive watchmaking classes will be conducted by Panerai’s watchmaking technical consultant and held on November 19th & 20th.
