A competition just launched by Oxford Business Group (OBG) is offering Saudi photographers the opportunity win a cash prize of SAR 10,000 and to have their work featured on the cover of the global research and consultancy’s special anniversary report on the Kingdom’s economy.
Titled “Saudi Arabia 10th Anniversary Cover”, the contest is one of a series of initiatives planned by OBG to mark a decade of operations in the Kingdom.
The competition is open to both professional and amateur photographers of Saudi nationality and will be judged by a panel comprising members of the OBG team. Submissions should broadly reflect the theme chosen for the contest, which is Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s blueprint for socio-economic reform.
Andrianna Dafnis, OBG’s Country Director in Saudi Arabia, said that the competition had provided a welcome opportunity for the Group to celebrate an important milestone in a manner that also reflected the Kingdom’s changing economic landscape and demographics.
“The government has chosen to focus heavily on innovation, media, arts and the creative industries in its long-term plans for diversifying the economy and generating opportunities for its growing young population,” she said. “I’m delighted that the 10th anniversary edition of our report will support these important sectors of the Kingdom’s economy, which we believe have significant potential for growth.”
Terms and conditions to participate can be found at http://www.oxfordbusinessgroup.com/OBGCoverContest while submissions for OBG’s photo competition should be made digitally in the first instance, either by email to: [email protected] or via social media using the hashtag #OBGCoverContest
The deadline for entries is September 15 and the winner will be announced in early October.
The winning photograph will be awarded a cash prize of SR10,000 and appear on the cover of The Report: Saudi Arabia 2017, which will be published later this year. The publication will mark the culmination of more than ten months of field research by a team of analysts from Oxford Business Group. It will assess trends and developments across the economy, including those in macroeconomics, energy, infrastructure, banking and others. The Report: Saudi Arabia 2017 will be available in print and online.
