Over 2.6 million students start annual school exams today

Over 1.6 million male and female school students are scheduled to start their annual examinations Sunday morning, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Examinations will be held for intermediate and secondary school students in all public and private schools all over the Kingdom.

Elementary school pupils from grades 1 to 6 will not sit the annual exams as they have already been evaluated through the continuous evaluation program.

The Ministry of Education and its various branches and administrations have made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exams, including the proper deployment of invigilators and supervisors.

Preparations have already been completed Kingdomwide for checking of the answer sheets of senior secondary students so that the results could be announced well in time for university admissions.

Director General of Examinations and Admissions in the Ministry of Education Abdulkareem Al-Jarbou said technical teams are on hand to deal with any possible difficulties facing schools and examination centers in all provinces and governorates.

Assistance will be provided through telephone calls, field visits and electronic monitoring daily during the exam period. “The aim is to ensure that everything goes smoothly and according to plan,” Al-Jarbou said.

He said the results of secondary school exams would be transmitted automatically to the universities through their electronic accounts.
