More than 1,000 outpatients have benefited from the home delivery of prescribed medicines by the King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) in Makkah over the last two weeks.
These include over 600 beneficiaries within Makkah and 400 beneficiaries outside Makkah. The initiative is part of several precautionary measures taken by KAMC to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The city arranged delivery of medicines free of charge, in coordination with a cargo firm, after receiving requests from patients online.
This service comes as part of the keenness of the medical city for the safety of community members through making available of health and treatment services via electronic means without the need to personally attend the hospital.
