Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski launched the Ottoman Kitchen Festival yesterday with the opening ceremony, which was held in Tuğra restaurant, and was attended by His Excellency the Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Yunus Demirer, and His Excellency the German Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Dieter Walter Haller, in addition to a number of officials and diplomatic delegations.
The festival, which will continue till 17 November 2016, will provide a unique experience by presenting high-end culinary creations that are inspired by history and the authenticity of Sultans Kitchen, where they invited Chef Serdar Ongel with his team, from Kempinski Çırağan Palace in Istanbul.
During the opening, the hotel's general manager, Mr Juan Uribe, said: "The Ottoman Kitchen Festival is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and through it we provide this experience to the guests and food enthusiasts in Riyadh as an extension of our commitment to excellence."
He added that presenting this festival in our signature Ottoman restaurant, Tuğra, is to define the authenticity of the Ottoman cuisine by inviting the chefs from Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, to the Riyadh's first Ottoman Cuisine, Tuğra restaurant.
The festival offers daily special Ottoman dinner menus in Tuğra restaurant and Le Bijou café in the lobby, in addition to the brunches every weekend.
Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski's signature Ottoman restaurant, Tuğra, was awarded earlier this year ''Middle Eastern Restaurant of the Year'' by the 2016 Food and Travel GCC Tourism Awards, where the restaurant earned this prestigious award amongst many elite restaurants spread across the GCC.
