NWC makes early arrangements for Hajj and provides electronic services for pilgrims

NWC held a workshop for discussing the activities of Executive Hajj Committee in Makkah and Masha’er for serving pilgrims of Hajj season 1436h. The workshop was attended by CEO, executive management and Company Hajj team. During this workshop, NWC reviewed its readiness plan for managing water and environment services during this Hajj season, and approved a sustainable, highly professional services system, with best operational efficiency.

 

Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Hassanain, NWC MTBU Director, explained that serving the pilgrims is a first priority objective that NWC aims to achieve with top efficiency. He added that NWC has stated planning for this season immediately after finishing last year’s season. He noted that this Hajj season has an organizational structure that provides all the needs, and uses all resources and training programs for applying top quality criteria.

 

Eng. Hassanain explained that NWC has assigned an operation room for receiving all complaints about security and safety. In addition, NWC prepared a security and safety plan during Hajj season, and sent it to the Ministry of Interior for approval. Also, an operation emergency plan was approved for supporting operational activities for managing emergency crisis.

 

Eng. Naif Al-Ossaimi, Executive Director, Customers Experiences, NWC Masha’er Sector Supervisor, said that the Company always works on executing the directions of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of providing all needed service for the pilgrims. Hence, NWC shall launch this season, for the first time, a new pack of electronic applications based upon smart control of Masha’er network (Water Management System). This comes within the global transfer to “Smart Cities” for raising the quality of water and environment services rendered to the pilgrims. Also, new equipment are used for analyzing water quality inside the network and tanks, and sampling results shall be sent electronically to labs by indicators and probes, in addition to manual sampling.

 

Eng. Al-Ossaimi mentioned that NWC shall continue cooperation with all related and supporting authorities in this Hajj season. This Hajj season is supported by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Prince of Makkah Area, President of Central Hajj Committee, Councilor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque. Minister of Water and Electricity and Chairman of NWC Board of Directors and members of the Board are following up and directing all these efforts. Also, NWC has closely and effectively coordinated with SWCC for providing all water and sewage services to the pilgrims throughout the period of this Hajj season.
