NWC Completes Water Pipelines and Networks in Al-Aflaj at SR +71 million

The National Water Company (NWC) announced the completion of a project to install water lines and networks in Al-Aflaj Governorate of Riyadh region, at a total cost exceeding 71 million Saudi Riyals. This comes as part of the company’s efforts to develop infrastructure, expand coverage of water and sanitation services, and achieve water and environmental balance in the Kingdom’s various cities and governorates.

The company explained that the project included extending water lines and networks of various diameters, with a total length exceeding 134 kilometers, in addition to constructing two water reservoirs with a combined capacity of 1,200 cubic meters, aiming to provide drinking water service to the districts of East Layla, King Abdullah, and Al-Rayyan, as well as the Al-Nayfiyah Center and the two villages of Al-Farisha and Al-Mudania.

NWC stated that it is continuing its efforts at an accelerated pace to implement projects that support infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency, with the aim of upgrading service quality, meeting the growing demand for water, and ensuring water security, in line with the urban development boom the Kingdom is experiencing. The company noted that these efforts are aimed at achieving its strategic goals of providing sustainable water services, in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and reaffirmed its commitment to the highest quality standards in project implementation to achieve the desired objectives in this vital sector.
