Nikki Beach will take part in the global Earth Hour initiatives this Saturday, March 30th 2019 from 8.30pm – 9.30pm when the resort will switching off the exterior building lights and outdoor lights. Hotel residents can join for the big switch-off at 8.30pm at the main hotel entrance to celebrate the event while lighting 200 candles and create awareness for energy saving.
“As Nikki Beach properties around the world are located near the beach and the sea, we are a brand which is very connected to nature and this is aligned with our brand values and mission of Celebrating Life and we adopt a 360-degree approach to sustainability and protection of natural resources.”
This worldwide initiative undertaken by the World Wide Fund for Nature began as a single lights-off event in Sydney in 2007, but is now observed in 7,000 cities and towns. Typically, it is observed by having individuals, businesses and government turn off their lights for one hour to save electricity and advocate environmental sustainability.
