National Agricultural Development Co. (NADEC) and United Feed Co., a subsidiary of Al Muhaidib Group, signed a partnership agreement to establish a joint venture (JV) in the intensive animal husbandry sector for red meat production.
The partnership aims to enhance food security, contribute to achieving self-sufficiency in red meat, and build an integrated system in the livestock sector in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said in a statement.
This is by benefiting from both companies’ expertise in developing a series of diverse projects in the animal husbandry sector for red meat production, contributing to the local market’s nutrition and achieving sustainable development in this vital sector, it further stated.
The new company will work to develop a number of agricultural and livestock projects, in addition to attracting foreign and local investments, to reach high-tech farms, the statement added.
