MyMedicNow mobile app has marked a significant milestone since its launch. The mobile app has witnessed over 40,000 downloads across Play Store and App Store in the last two months, with over 4,000 doctors already listed on the app, and Northwest and Shamma Clinics recently joining the database.
As per a study published on Huffington post, it was noted that driving app installs is hard work. Getting a user to download an app is only half the battle; with 25 per cent users abandoning apps immediately after using them for the first time and 77 per cent abandoning within 72 hours of installing them. Depending on the scope of the app, only one in four mobile apps actually engages users.
“In a competitive mobile app space, it is indeed a pleasure to witness such a high turnaround of downloads in a short period since our launch. MyMedicNow is a strong app for all health needs, and we encourage more users to download the app for optimal benefits,” said Sajid Azmi, Co-founder, MyMedicNow.
“As a health app, we understand the need to be above our peers, and as such we will continue to make advancements to our app as we look to drive further developments to our technology and product offerings, including the expansion of our app into the international market and next steps would also enable a search by acceptance of insurance providers amongst other additions.”
MyMedicNow takes a unique approach of connecting patients with the right doctors by allowing patients to search by symptoms or medical conditions. The app aims to help patients search for medical conditions and find related local healthcare providers; quickly and efficiently. The app is currently available on iOS, Android and via a web portal.
“In today’s time, the maximum population of the UAE uses mobile apps for convenience and information. It was imperative that we join the extensive network of MyMedicNow to be available to our patients anytime, anywhere,” said Shoukath Ali, General Manager and Partner, Northwest Clinic.
With patients being able to book an appointment and get real-time confirmations, MyMedicNow also allows them to rate doctors and hospitals, thus ensuring the healthcare providers strive to provide best services at all times.
“At Shamma Clinic, we are committed to provide our patients with best-in-class services at all times. Our decision to join MyMedicNow will not only help us connect with our patients at any given point, but also help us expand our footprint online, because patients matter,” said Rina Smaili, Clinic Manager, Shamma Clinic.
