More than six months after its launch, the HUAWEI P20 Pro continues to stand on photography’s throne

With the end of 2018 approaching, and after the launch of most of the world's smartphones and more than half a year after the launch of the HUAWEI P20 Pro, the phone is still on top the list of the best smartphone’s camera according to DxO Labs in terms of quality standards of lenses and cameras and photos taken. No other devices could outperform the HUAWEI P20 Pro and surpass the 109-point of the phone, and the difference between Huawei P20 Pro and its closest rivals remains high.

HUAWEI P20 Pro arguably the most innovative device in quite some time. The HUAWEI P20 Pro is the first smartphone to feature a triple camera setup. Much of this amazing result is due to Huawei’s outstanding still image capabilities that earn it an unprecedented Photo score

The large sensor in the main camera combined with the black and white sensor allows for excellent low-light performance and class-leading dynamic range; the dedicated 80mm equivalent tele-lens in combination with the high-resolution monochrome chip, delivers the best zoom performance on a smartphone to date. The monochrome chip is also used to help generate the P20 Pro’s excellent bokeh-simulation

This camera system has the biggest number of pixels among other smartphones in the market, where it is configured with 40mp RGB sensor, 20mp monochrome sensor, and 8mp telephoto sensor to provide detailed photos without missing any details after zooming in. The HUAWEI P20 Pro also features a color temperature sensor with f/1.8, f/1.6 and f/2.4 wide aperture to captureclearer, and more vibrant photos in low light. Moreover, HUAWEI P20 Pro includes a brand-new Leica VARIO-SUMMILUX lens (aspheric lens of 80-27/2.4-1:1.6) with optical zoom to capture long-range photography of up to 5x Hybrid Zoom as well as a highly sensitive image sensor to capture low light images photos with up to ISO 102400. The phone also introduces innovative photography features that include Master AI which is AI-driven professional photography skills and HUAWEI AIS, a powerful AI stabilization technology.

It may be known to all photography enthusiasts that this France-based DxO laboratory is famous for its professional and stringent standards applied to the measurement and ratings of camera and lens. A great many professional users would refer to their ratings before buying their devices.

With only a few days to go until Huawei launches another breakthrough in the smartphone industry globally on 16th October in London, we can only wait with bated breath to see how the new HUAWEI Mate 20 series will add ease and efficiency into our lives especially when it comes to photography.
