The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), first research and teaching institution focused on governance and public policy in the region, held today a graduation ceremony for the second batch of the LeadersProgram, comprised of 15 leaders from Dubai Public Prosecution (DPP) directors and section managers.
Held at MBRSG headquarters in Dubai, the ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, His Excellency Counselor Essam Essa Al Humaidan, Dubai's Attorney-General, and Professor Raed Al Awamleh, MBRSG Dean, as well as a number of MBRSG faculty members and employees of MBRSG and DPP.
The Leaders Program aims to empower and qualify future leaders and government employees by equipping them with skills and capabilities to support the realization of the wise leadership’s aspirations and the targets of the government of the future.
H.E. Dr. Al Marri, H.E. Al Humaidan, and Prof. Al Awamleh handed out the certificates to the graduates, who expressed their pride to graduate from the Leaders Program and showed eagerness to begin a new chapter in their professional careers. The program prepares them to live up to their ambitions and helps them identify the future needs to contribute to DPP’s strategies and enhance its overall performance to better serve citizens and ensure the effective implementation of the law.
On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Al Marri said: “We are proud to graduate a new elite group of Dubai Public Prosecution leaders, who have proven their dedication and readiness to meet the requirements of the future and handle the challenges it brings. MBRSG is strategically partnering with the Dubai Public Prosecution, through which we have built an inspiring model of constructive cooperation to enhance the capabilities of leaders, directors and employees. This helped us establish a participatory approach that relies on employing capabilities in order to bring about tangible major progresses in the DPP’s journey towards excellence. This comes in line with our leadership’s vision of qualifying national human resources across all fields to contribute in shaping the future.”
Al Marri asserted that MBRSG’s commitment to collaborating with different federal and local government entities, as well as the private sector, is to create a strong national workforce that strives to find solutions to the shared challenges and achieve the socioeconomic goals of Dubai and the UAE. “MBRSG offers leading educational programs to serve all vital sectors by arming national leaders with the latest global government practices and models, and working to achieve optimal utilization of human resources through promoting innovation in government work,” Al Marri added.
His Excellency Counselor Essam Essa Al Humaidan, the Attorney General of Dubai, was honored and pleased to have attended the graduation of a new batch of the Leaders Program from the judicial authority members and staff, stressing that enhancing the qualifications of DPP cadres reflects the visions and aspirations of DPP in forecasting the future and preparing to face its challenges.
His Excellency said: “Our keenness to train and qualify the human cadres stems from our belief in investing in national competencies to create a judicial system competing the world. I would like to thank MBRSG for its role in the success of the program, as this step reflects the fruitful partnership between the two parties. We seek to activate cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experiences to support our ability to keep pace with the rapid developments in Dubai. "

4 Pillars
The Leaders Program consists of 4 key pillars. Dealing with ‘Strategic Leadership in the Challenges Age’, the first pillar aims at promoting a clear understanding of leadership in the public sector and offering insights on the challenges and latest developments in government work. In addition, it nurtures strategic thinking skills and the effective use of strategic planning tools, enabling leaders to better manage change and eliminate hurdles.
The second pillar covers ‘Modern Trends in Future Forecasting and Government Excellence’ by familiarizing participants with the latest practices, standards, programs and models in government excellence. While the third, pillar, ‘Government Accelerators 10X’, focuses on fostering value-creation skills, teaching methods of creating radical innovations and demonstrating their feasibility to decision-makers, as well as qualifying Radical Innovation teams with necessary skills.
As for the fourth pillar, it sheds light on ‘Positivity and its Role in Boosting Employee Happiness’ highlighting the importance of positivity and happiness in the workplace as a competitive trait. It serves to teach participants skills pertaining to motivation theories, as well as educate them on the experiences of international organizations and best practices in achieving happiness.
MBRSG is committed to promoting governance through enhancing the region's capacity for effective public policy. The school uses a four-pronged approach, which includes applied research, academic programs, executive education programs and knowledge forums for scholars and policy makers.
