Moderate to heavy rain predicted in some regions next week

Preliminary indicators show that there will be moderate to heavy rainfall on Makkah, Madinah, Hail and Al-Qassim regions and the Southwestern Highlands during the middle of next week, Saudi Press Agency quoted Deputy President of the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection (GAMEP) Dr. Aiman Ghulam as saying Friday.

Rainfall intensity is expected to increase over the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Al-Qassim as well as the areas west of Riyadh Province. Floods are likely, in valleys and wadis, in these regions, Ghulam said.

GAMEP has confirmed that it is following the weather conditions through its advanced monitoring systems round the clock in coordination with the related authorities and it will issue detailed reports in this regard.
