Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz the Chairman of Disabled Children's Association and in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al Ruwais the Governor of CITC, Etihad Etisalat Mobily has signed a cooperation agreement with Disabled Children's Association to support “#Ana Musharek” campaign. The agreement was signed by Mr. Ahmed Farroukh Chief Executive Officer of Mobily and Engineer Othman Al Faris, Board Member and General Supervisor of “Allah gives you his goodness” Initiative.
The campaign will focus upon social media sites through dissemination of key messages, information, text and multimedia content, to support the National Initiative, which has the blessings of The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and has been adopted by Disabled Children’s Association, in cooperation with General Directorate of Traffic.
Mobily will, under the agreement, support the campaign through its own social media platforms to stimulate action from its subscribers by enabling them to participate in the campaign. The campaign will help in developing a healthy traffic culture where everyone abides by laws and regulations in order to minimize accidents. A large number of accidents in the Kingdom result in causing an average of 32 people to becomes disabled each day, thus causing huge personal, as well as socio-economic impact for the society as a whole.
Following the signing of the agreement, Prince Sultan bin Salman thanked Mobily for their support to the campaign which displays a strong sense of cohesion with community based initiatives by large national companies such as Mobily. He also declared that the agreement reflects a concerted Private and Public sector effort with harmonized roles and responsibilities to serve larger, national issues that affect the community and its safety directly. He expressed hope that having Mobily with massive customer base would help spreading the word about the campaign to all segments of the society.
HRH stressed the importance of this initiatives and required support from all segments of the society, as it will result in reduced traffic accidents. He mentioned that such accidents result in death and disabilities which, beside personal grievance causes a huge socio economic impact.
His Excellency, the Governor of CITC mentioned, that he considers supporting the campaign a national duty, and appreciated company’s direct interaction with the campaign and its quest to fulfill its mission to community. He said: There are some people who disregard their own selves in pursuit of the noble cause of serving the nation and resolving humanitarian issues and HRH Sultan bin Salman is one of these people. HRH spares no effort to serve the national and humanitarian issues affecting the security and safety of the community directly including the issue of traffic accidents and resultant humanitarian and economic disaster in the kingdom. He also expressed hope that other companies will participate in the campaign and contribute towards reduction in the number of traffic accidents.
In his comments, Ahmed Farroukh, Chief Executive Officer of Mobily said “Mobily is delighted to participate in a national initiative of such importance, as part of our social responsibility efforts. The agreement springs from our belief that private sector plays an important role towards encouraging participation in such campaigns that enhance the level of awareness towards reducing traffic accidents which results in death, serious injuries and disabilities”. It is noteworthy that Mobily has supported "Allah gives you its goodness" campaign since its beginning, which received follow-up and attention and honor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allah protect him.
It is worth mentioning that the Prince Sultan bin Salman, recently launched Hashtag #Ana Musharek on social media sites, to stimulate all segments of society and social media activists to interact with the tag and encourage compliance with regulations and traffic laws to reduce accidents in the kingdom. Opportunities will also be available for people to participants in the campaign award for volunteer work.
