Mobily Pay, a subsidiary of Etihad Etisalat Company, Mobily, has announced a strategic partnership with Visa International, which opens up payment capabilities to consumers in the Kingdom and further contributes to the Financial Sector Development Program and Vision 2030 goals.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr. Ayman Aleissa, Mobily Pay CEO and Mr. Ali Bailoun Visa’s General Manager for Saudi Arabia. The partnership expands the relationship between the two parties by offering a range of services and technical financial solutions to Mobily Pay that improve the experience of customers using Mobily Pay App.
“We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Visa International. Visa has built a trusted reputation over many years and around the world for its financial transaction technology. By signing this agreement, Mobily Pay customers will now benefit from Visa’s global payment acceptance network and a secured online payment system,” said Mr. Ayman Aleissa.
“Our agreement with Visa is yet another example of the momentum that Vision 2030 has generated. This in turn has seen electronic payments in Saudi Arabia’s retail sector experience a huge increase with 57 percent of payments now using this method. This showcases the great strides made in the electronic payment sector and we are delighted that Mobily Pay is playing an important role,” he added.
Mr. Ali Bailoun commented that the agreement means Mobily Pay customers will now be able to take advantage of Visa’s worldwide payment network which will enhance the security and customer experience of Mobily Pay. The collaboration is part of Mobily Pay’s efforts to enable its customers to make their online and point of sales purchases in a more secure manner through Visa’s network.
This partnership comes in line with Mobily Pay’s effort to further invest in new technologies to offer innovative and safe solutions while keeping pace with the latest advances in financial services technologies. This has resulted in great progress being made in the digital transformation of all fields in the Kingdom, especially regarding payments and digital financial services.
