Etihad Etisalat "Mobily", in agreement with the other two telcos, stc and Zain, has announced it was exempting its clients under the Ministry of Health (MoH) quarantine from paying their April postpaid package bill. The announcement reinforces efforts to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and limit its spread, and stems from Mobily’s social responsibility. The aim of the initiative is to allow those quarantined to communicate with their loved ones within Saudi Arabia and enjoy internet services during the quarantine.
This exemption is limited to clients under MoH quarantine but excludes those under optional home quarantine. The exemption covers charges for the April bill for postpaid packages only-- voice and data--excluding international call charges and application subscriptions.
The list of customers eligible for exemption will be provided by MoH and fees will be deducted automatically according to the list. If a customer has more than one postpaid number under his personal ID, the company is obligated to apply the exemption only to the customer number that will be included in the Ministry of Health’s list for those quarantined due to the coronavirus disease, noting that if the customer has a fiber optic or fixed line, both will not be included in the exemption as the initiative is exclusive to mobile (portable) numbers only used while under quarantine.
