As part of its strategic agreement and cooperation with Dar Al-Hekma University, the Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO) conducted a training and simulating initiative on the "Basics of Car Maintenance" for the University students to identify the ideal ways to change the engine oil of the car, at the University's headquarters in Jeddah.
The initiative aims at educating the participants on how to handle their engine car oil, and how to change oil properly by identifying the contents of Mobil 1 oil displayed on the oil mobile car provided by APSCO for this prupose.
The initiative has been divided into several categories to educate more about the technical benefits of changing the engine oil, where technical experts in the automotive field advised to use the engine oil recommended by the car manufacturer, because it has the appropriate features to meet the car engine requirements. It also helps to increase the engine estimated life, where the proper engine oil must be of high viscosity, especially when using the car in high temperature environment, high evaporation rate, low freezing, temperature rate, must not react with any part of the engine and be free of carbon deposits.
Engineer Kamal Uddin Hussein, Sales Manager at APSCO, stressed the importance of this initiative in collaboration with Mobil 1, which will raise ladies and girls’ awareness and education in the automotive field, and said:"The decision to allow women to drive has helped the female element to deal with this matter with a great deal of seriousness and attention. Following the decision we launched our initiative with Dal Al-Hekma University to introduce female students on the proper basis to protect their car engines from sudden breakdowns.”
Nothing that "APSCO" has signed an agreement with Dar Al-Hekma University, which include various initiatives that benefit the students in particular and the community in general, and will be implemented in due course.
