The Saudi Ministry of Health signed on June 8 a contract for public-private partnerships (PPP) with the winning consortium to manage and operate diagnostic imaging departments in seven hospitals.
The project, which was earlier offered with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), is a 10-year PPP, which aims to facilitate access of more than to 1.5 million beneficiaries to diagnostic imaging services in Riyadh.
The winner, Altakassusi Alliance Medical, is a joint venture between Alliance Medical Group, Europe's leading independent provider of imaging services; Nexus Gulf Healthcare; and King Faisal Specialist Hospital International Holding.
The free-of-charge imaging service will be for beneficiaries based on the best global standards and practices.
The consortium will provide the seven departments with the necessary equipment and also provide maintenance throughout the contract term.
