The Ministry of Commerce started today to implement inspection tours to control prices in commercial establishments in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to follow-up of the commitment of wholesale and retail trade stores to apply the approved preventive protocols to address the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, coinciding with the beginning of the return of all economic and commercial activities.
The inspection teams of the Ministry during these tours directly monitor the prices of goods through the electronic price monitoring system, and compare them with neighboring countries, and apply immediate fines in the event of an unjustified exaggeration in the prices of goods.
The Ministry of Commerce called on all consumers to file complaints throughout the 24 hour application at the link: https://mci.gov.sa/C-app or the call center on the number 1900 or the official website of the Ministry.
