Minister of Hajj and Umrah Says 1,845,045 Pilgrims Successfully Reached Arafat

Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has announced the successful implementation of the plan to organize the movement of pilgrims and their ascent to the Arafat Site.
During a press conference held at the ministry's camp at the Arafat Site, Al-Rabiah stated that the number of pilgrims performing this year's Hajj season has reached 1,845,045 from 150 countries. He emphasized that the ministry's field teams and partners are working tirelessly around the clock to provide all kinds of services to pilgrims, ensuring that they can perform their Hajj rituals with complete tranquillity and peace.
The minister also emphasized that the ministry will strictly address any failure in serving pilgrims that hinders the smoothness of their Hajj journey.
On this occasion, the minister extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support and commitment to ensuring the highest quality of services for pilgrims.
He also thanked the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Hajj Supreme Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Hajj Central Committee, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the Governor of Madinah Region and Chairman of the Hajj and Visit Committee in Madinah, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, as well as his deputies and all Hajj authorities, for their efforts and collaborative work in ensuring the success of this year's Hajj.
In an interview with the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah stated that the ministry's use of technology during Hajj has played a significant role in providing better services to the pilgrims of the Grand Mosque and facilitating their performance of the rituals.
Minister Al-Rabiah highlighted the expanded use of the Pilgrim's Card as part of the ministry's package of various digital solutions offered during this year's Hajj season, 1444 AH. These efforts aim to improve the services provided to pilgrims, assist in guiding lost pilgrims, and facilitate their communication with their group leader, the minister added.
In this Hajj season, domestic pilgrims were allowed to register for Hajj online and make payments in instalments for the first time, said Al-Rabiah. Additionally, pilgrims from 67 countries in Europe, the Americas, and Australia were allowed to register and book electronically. The minister emphasized plans to further expand the application of this technology in the future.
This afternoon, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the completion of pilgrims' departure to Arafat, leaving Mina devoid of pilgrims since 10 AM today.
The ministry also reported a commitment rate of over 98% in providing transportation facilities to pilgrims, including using 20,000 buses. The holy site's train system was also utilized for transporting pilgrims.
