Minister of Education, Afghan Minister of Foreign Affairs Sign Memorandum of Cooperation in Scientific, Educational Fields

The Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, signed today a memorandum of cooperation in the scientific and educational fields between the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Education of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
The memorandum of cooperation provides for the encouragement of the exchange of visits between those responsible for public education in the two countries, the exchange of student delegations, and the plans and programs for training teachers and educational supervisors in the various educational fields. The memorandum of cooperation also provides for the exchange of educational regulations and the admission requirements and the academic certificates equivalence in the stages of public education.
The agreement aims to consolidate the existing friendship between the two countries and raise the level of cooperation between them in the scientific and educational fields.
