Mega Trend Hotbed to Drive Honor Success in 2016

As honor marks its second anniversary this week, the world’s number one smartphone e-brand from Huawei, is celebrating its status as one of the fastest growing brands in e-commerce globally, tipped to reach its $6 billion target by the end of this year. Honor is seeing 100% global year-on-year growth showing no signs of slowing down, particularly in the Middle East where the brand is experiencing unprecedented growth amid a hotbed of mega trends and a step change in consumer purchase behaviour, set to catapult the brand into 2016.

Chris Sunbaigong VP of honor predicts that the Middle East market is ripe to project honor’s growth ahead of the curve with its more affordable smartphones containing world first technology, by taking advantage of the global mega trend toward e- and m-commerce, growing at 40% y-o-y in the region, combined with the ‘living online’ phenomenon spreading across the GCC.

Chris Sun Baigong Vice President of Huawei Honor in the Middle East said, “Since launching honor in the Middle East this year, we have not only contributed to the overall success of honor globally which is reaching dizzy heights, but we are helping boost the e-commerce and smartphone landscape in this region which is constantly evolving as well as growing exponentially.”

Honor is set to capitalise on this frission within the market in 2016 by strengthening the brands visibility online through its newly launched website www.HonorArabia.com where consumers can browse and purchase their favourite products through a trusted source. Honor is targeting the younger consumers who operate a large portion of their daily activities online and already have an affinity with e-commerce.

Baigong continues; “We are launching our own e-commerce brand platform that will further open up the e-commerce market and spearhead honor’s growth in this region, offering our users with a dedicated place to research and purchase our products. With 135 million people now online in the GCC and a huge increase in those now ‘living online’ we at honor believe there is a real opportunity to drive the growth of e-commerce even further next year.”
