Manitou: unique, innovative material-handling solutions for aeronautical maintenance

Manitou will be on hand at the Aircraft Interiors and MRO Middle East tradeshow held in Dubai on February 2nd and 3rd, 2015 (at booth 618 in the Ubifrance Pavilion). The world leader in rough terrain material handling will use this tradeshow as an opportunity to showcase the extent of its range of solutions combining personnel lifting devices and parts handling for civil and military aviation in the Middle East.

From compact platforms to rotating telehandlers, Manitou has successfully designed its equipment to ensure the safe approach towards any kind of aircraft.

“The solutions we provide are safe, precise and versatile. They give operators the kind of autonomy that improves the time spent intervening. They perfectly meet the requirements of logistics, aeronautical maintenance and storage/warehousing,” says Defence Activities Manager Martin Monié.

Specific requests are handled by a special dedicated team of engineers to put Manitou know-how at the disposal of customers.

Involved in working heights reaching up to 32 metres, Manitou provides all kinds of high- performance equipment (telehandlers, masted forklift trucks, scissor access platforms, aerial platforms, warehousing equipment and more) intended for aeronautical maintenance. The extensive range of products includes:

• Vertical platforms: compact machines for working heights ranging from 8 to 10
metres (i.e. the 90V’AIR)
• Articulated platforms that can shift in such a way as to reach any part of an aircraft at working heights ranging from 12 to 28 metres (i.e. the 150 and 170 AETJL twin- energy)
• Rotating telehandlers for working heights at 32 metres and 5 tonnes’ capacity (i.e.
the MRT 2540 featuring a swivelling cage and a crane)

MANITOU SOLUTIONS’ STRENGTHS: Safer for people and for aircraft:
- Stable, rigid machines for improved working comfort, making outdoor interventions
possible in winds reaching 45km/h
