Madi International celebrates Goldwell’s 1st anniversary in the GCC

Madi International, one of the leading distributors of internationally reputed professional beauty brands across the entire Middle East, introduced Goldwell to UAE in June last year. On June 1, Madi International, the exclusive distributor for the brand in the GCC, joined in to celebrate Goldwell’s 1st anniversary in the region. The event was held at the Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa and was attended by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Cory Couts – Global President, Salon Division and Eric Brockhus – President, Kao EMEA additional to many Global dignitaries from Europe and the rest of the regions

Goldwell’s Global brand ambassador Mrs. Lisa Whiteman made her presence felt. Lisa has been in the hair industry for almost 25 years, and has been a trainer and mentor to many salon owners and talented up-and-coming hairdressers both nationally and internationally. Her high standards and reliability have led to a reputation for the utmost level of professionalism, which has been rewarded with nominations for numerous top industry awards as well as being Global Partner Category Winner of Color Zoom 2012. Goldwell reached the height of its success in a short period of time in the GCC and has made some remarkable achievements in the growing beauty and personal care industry. Research has shown that the Middle East and Africa (MEA) has overtaken Latin America as the world’s fastest growing market for beauty and personal care products. The MEA region was valued at $25.7 billion in 2014 and it is estimated that the beauty market in the region will record a 4.8 per cent annual growth rate between 2014 and 2019, which is almost twice the global average of 2.6 per cent. Studies have shown that consumers in Saudi Arabia spent $4.8 billion and the UAE spent $1.4 billion on hair care, bath and shower, cosmetics, deodorants, fragrances, men’s grooming, oral care and skin care last year.

Madi International and Goldwell have been riding the growth wave and continued to deliver the latest offerings for the customers. “We have plenty of surprises planned out to make the most of the growing market and this is only the beginning”, said Mr. Mohammad Madi, President of Madi International. “I would like to congratulate the entire Goldwell team on behalf of Madi International and wish them all the success.”
