Mayor Saeed bin Abdulaziz bin Mushait said the exhibition “Made in Asir 2015” provides an opportunity for productive families and artisans to exhibit their products and innovations in a manner that achieves suitable economic returns.
This came during the launch of “Made in Asir” on Wednesday at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Khamis Mushait, during the activities of the “Abha Gathers Us” festival, which is held under the umbrella of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and the national program for traditional industries.
He said that participants should be supported especially since they produce local products.
The initiative was implemented under the auspices of Asir Governor and Chairman of the Tourism Development Council Prince Faisal bin Khaled, and President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Prince Sultan bin Salman.
The exhibition will continue for five days with the participation of more than 100 artisans who present their products and various artifacts.
The exhibition is accompanied by lectures for leading business women to develop traditional products and their marketing, in addition to exhibiting the works of talented people.
“In Khamis Mushait we are still following up on the establishment an investment project that is setting up a city for family production. The project is implemented by the Chamber of Commerce in coordination with the governorate’s municipality,” the mayor added.
He pointed out that the city will be allocated to production families for a token fee; it will provide high quality services that contribute to making the project a success.
