INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, signed an agreement with the London Core Review. The agreement paves the way for INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions to hold the first edition of the Core Curriculum Review Course in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Dubai from 16-19 April 2016, in conjunction with its annual conference, the International Family Medicine Conference & Exhibition – IFM, scheduled to be held from 17-19 April 2016 in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, signed the agreement with Professor Abdallah Raweh, MD, PhD, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon UK, Vice-Rector of Ludes University, Switzerland, Director of Arab Countries London Core Review, at the headquarters of INDEX Holding in the city of Dubai. As per this agreement, INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions holds the exclusive rights for organizing this training program in the Middle East, North Africa, Korea, and China.
The importance of this agreement stems from the fact that it is the first time for this training program to be organized outside the United Kingdom. Prof. Abdallah Raweh, Director of Arab Countries Core Review, chose Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to be the first international city to host this training program, outside of UK. The London Core Review is located at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London. The course comprises of lectures from the successful USA course as well as UK and European lectures relevant to syllabus and exam. The London Core Review faculty comprises of a mixture of UK and USA members bringing expertise in various disciplines.
The Dubai Core Review faculty have an immense wealth of expertise in cardiothoracic surgery and their delivery of the course materials is of impeccable standards by world-class speakers, namely from the USA, John Doty, M.D., Rafe Connors, M.D., William T. The London Core Review program provides a comprehensive review of the core information required for surgeons preparing for competency written examination to qualify to practice Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery. It conforms to the basic curriculum in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery recommended by the Thoracic Surgery Directors' Association. Delegates who complete the 4-day event will receive credit hours. The London Core Review course is accredited with the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain & Ireland.
