LEGOLAND® DUBAI CELEBRATES UAE NATIONAL DAY WITH SANAD VILLAGE CHILDREN OF DETERMINATION AS PART OF CSR INITIATIVE

Continuing its CSR collaborations for this year and giving back to the local community, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort invited 30 Sanad Village students (children and adults of determination) aged 5-25 years old, together with 30 teachers to join the 51st UAE National Day celebrations taking place at LEGOLAND® Dubai theme park, where families are celebrating the Spirit of the Union.

Sanad Village is one of the largest institutions for the rehabilitation and education of kids and adults of determination in the region. It is dedicated to understanding autism and other related disorders and uses creative programmes, innovative strategies, training and rehabilitation services to help those of determination, overcome the many obstacles they face and integrate them into society.

To support this vision, LEGOLAND Dubai Resort initiated fruitful collaborations with Sanad Village earlier this year that started by inviting 5 students in August to LEGOLAND Water Park in celebration of their behavioural achievement, as according to Sanad Village students’ behavioural contract, students are rewarded with a trip to their preferred attraction when completing all required tasks and receiving all tokens for following the rules.

In November, LEGOLAND® Water Park hosted 30 Sanad Village students together with their teachers and supervisors for a day trip to celebrate the end of summer and enjoy many of the park’s family-friendly 20 waterslides and activities. 

To spread happiness celebrating a special occasion, LEGOLAND Dubai Resort has, once again, invited 30 students of Sanad Village together with their teachers and supervisors to join this year’s 51st UAE National Day celebrations at LEGOLAND Dubai theme park and take part in family-friendly activities, including helping to build the world’s largest UAE flag with LEGO Minifigures -made out of 20,000 Minifugres- and take selfies at the ‘UAE Salute LEGO Model’ that represent win, victory, and love- popularized by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. 

To extend the fun even further, all Sanad Village students enjoyed many of LEGOLAND Dubai theme park’s 40 attractions and rides, before ending an awesome day out.

This CSR initiative is one several collaborations to take place between LEGOLAND Dubai Resort and Sanad Village as well as other local and regional organisations, as part of its commitment to giving back to the local community.
