The eighth annual edition of the Italian Cuisine World Summit (ICWS) opens its doors, to a world of Italian culinary adventure, here in the UAE. Lavazza, the official ICWS partner, celebrates the true Italian way of life by showcasing what Italians love most - real coffee.
Throughout the summit, Lavazza will host competitions and opportunitities for individuals to experience and explore the nuances of the coffee culture. Lavazza will kick off the summit with a search for the ‘The Best Espresso in the UAE’. The competition will bring the best baristas together under one roof to compete for the coveted title and get a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Italy to attend a barista course at the Lavazza global training center.
Food and coffee enthusiasts are also welcome to join the Lavazza themed dinner which will be hosted at the Vivaldi Ristorante by Michelin Star Chef Alfredo Russo in Sheraton Dubai Creek on November 14th. A coffee inspired four course set menu will be available for guests to enjoy.
In addition, Lavazza is launching its new product range for the first time in the UAE - ¡Tierra! Origins. The premium Lavazza coffee are blended to provide an intense extraordinary and sustainable flavour experience. These single-origin coffee varieties are certified by Rainforest Alliance, an international non-profit organisation committed to fostering biodiversity conservation and promoting the rights and wellbeing of farmers, their families and communities.
For over 120 years, Lavazza has been committed to produce unique coffee blends attributed to its Master Blenders, who every year select more than 100 different varieties from different origins, creating a product characterised by the most prized and refined aromas, so as to guarantee the best in-cup result.
It is thanks to this excellent art of coffee blending that today the Lavazza ¡Tierra! range for industry professionals has a new integrated, original offering of outstanding quality: Espresso Brasile 100% Arabica, with dominant notes of honey, biscuits and chocolate; Espresso Brasile Blend (70% Arabica, 30% prized washed Robusta) with hints of chocolate, dried fruit and bitter cocoa; Filtro Tanzania 100% Arabica, with aromas of flowers and ripe fruits; Filtro Brasile 100% Arabica, with tangs of cereals and honey.
