Things are buzzing in the Middle East for the iconic brand L’Oréal Paris Elvive as MBC TV presenter Ola Al Fares comes on board as the brand’s new ambassador. As one of the region’s most well known and recognizable faces in media, this young, driven and dynamic Jordanian is sure to add fresh energy and a whole lot of excitement to the brand.
Ola’s career and rise to stardom has been impressive and inspirational. She graduated from Amman Law School at the age of 19, but her passion for TV broadcasting and journalism led her to Al Arabiya News as the youngest reporter in the Middle East. She was then just 17. Just two years later, she joined MBC News Dubai as the channel’s youngest TV presenter. In six months time, Ola began her own show at the age of 20. From the very beginning, Ola’s commitment to social causes began to shine through. On her own show – still with MBC ten years later – Ola focuses on stories about the underprivileged, and on children’s issues. Ola also presents several anchor programs and writes weekly columns in Al Arabiya, Hiya magazine and Beauty News, making her one of the most outstanding media personalities in this region.
Ola also encourages her digital fan following of some 2.3 million on Instagram and 2.6 million on Twitter to get involved and help with charity and philanthropy. Not only do these numbers on social media make her very influential in the Arab world, they also confirm her position as the second most followed Jordanian woman on Twitter after Queen Rania. Ola says: “I hope that one day, my name will be associated with charity activities and women’s empowerment.” Throughout her career, Ola has been recognized for her work, and presented with many awards. In 2010, she was voted ‘Most Influential and Elegant TV Presenter’, and more recently, in 2015, she received the ‘Arab Woman of the Year’ award.
Says L’Oréal Paris Brand Global President of L’Oréal Paris, Cyril Chapuy: “We are delighted to welcome Ola on board as our new spokesperson for the Elvive brand, as a personality who projects confidence, sincerity, compassion and approachability. Women in the GCC admire her achievements, her beauty, fashion sense and bravery (she was the first Arab woman to climb the Burj Khalifa)! They aspire to her ideals, and dream of having long and beautiful hair, just like her. All these attributes make her the perfect ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.”
Ola says: “I am so proud to be L’Oréal Paris’s brand ambassador in the Middle East and thrilled to be part of this big family. It’s a dream come true for me as I feel L’Oréal embodies my values of beauty. Whenever I think of L’Oréal, I see a beautiful, smart and elegant lady who takes care of herself. ”
Fans can expect to see Ola featured in the new L’Oréal Paris Elvive Keratin Straight range, a collection that has been specifically designed to meet the unique hair types and weather conditions in the region.
