Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has honored King Saud Medical City (KSMC) for healthcare volunteering at the level of Medical City Hospitals. This recognition manifests the medical city’s commitment toward contributing to the quality of life of the community. In celebration of the International Volunteers Day, KSMC launched more than 20 volunteering initiatives.
Dr. Haitham Alfalah, CEO, reiterated that this award is a great motivation for KSMC team to continue its contribution toward healthcare volunteering and inspires the medical city to continuously develop and enhance its volunteering aspects relevant to the community healthcare needs in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 for a vibrant society and responsibly enabled by firmly entrenching the values of giving, compassion, cooperation and empathy.
In response to this call, KSMC created a special unit dedicated to healthcare volunteering which is responsible for engaging volunteers from the community to share their time and efforts in driving the spirit of volunteerism in KSMC by providing assistance to the patients and the community.
Dr. Alfalah extended his gratitude to Dr. Al-Rabiah for his continuous support to healthcare volunteering, hoping that these efforts would create a positive impact in the quality of life and promote positive values in the community.
