KSA ‘ready to meet rising oil demand from China’

Saudi Arabia is ready to meet rising energy demand from China, said Khalid Al-Falih, minister of energy, industry and mineral resources, SPA reported on Friday.
“The Kingdom is ready to fulfill the rising energy demand in China in the coming decades,” SPA quoted Al-Falih as stating.
Al-Falih made these remarks during meetings with top Chinese energy officials. The minister was on an official visit to China earlier this week when several energy agreements were signed.
Oil prices rose 3 percent on Friday. Brent crude futures were up $1.45, or 3.2 percent, at $46.90 a barrel by 1747 GMT. Brent was down 6 percent on the week, on track for its biggest weekly loss since late July.
