King Abdulaziz International Airport completed its preparations for the resumption of domestic flights today according to the precautionary measures and regulations set by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in cooperation with the relevant authorities to face the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The precautionary measures include checking on airport visitors with thermal cameras, installing sterilizing devices for stairs, electric walkways with ultraviolet technology and floor stickers and waiting seats to urge social distancing while at the airport. The airport is also providing sterilizers and requiring all airport and aircrew staff to sterilize hands, wearing masks, gloves and undergoing a medical examination, in addition to sterilizing all airport facilities periodically every three hours and sterilizing all aircraft after each flight.
