KACARE signs deal for renewable energy training and development

King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) signed a memorandum of understanding and partnership with the Saudi Technical Institute for the Electricity Services in Riyadh on Wednesday.

The agreement entails cooperation for training and development in the fields of renewable energy and benefiting from the existing capabilities and expertise of both the parties. Dr. Khalid Al-Sultan, president of KACARE, and Laith Al-Bassam, CEO of the institute, signed the agreement.

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Sultan said that the signing of the MoU aims to develop national competencies and localization of technologies. “KACARE is keen to implement these in all its programs in order to achieve the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Vision 2030,” he said.

KACARE is looking forward to achieve the Kingdom’s ambitious goals in the field of renewable energy and developing national human capacities to enable it to contribute effectively within renewable energy projects. The human element represents the most important potential of this sector, it was stated.
