In collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Saudi Heart Failure Group, and under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Tarif Al-Aamy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Therapeutic Affairs, the "Hearts" conference, targeting the cardiac failure, was organized by the Saudi PharmaceuticalDistribution Co. Ltd., one of Novartis group of companies, The conference was attended by physicians and cardiologists, other healthcare professionals from all over Saudi Arabia, and media representatives.
A diversity of topics relevant to heart failure were covered during the 2 day conference, includingpapers and lectures delivered by a group of physicians and cardiologists, from inside the Kingdom and abroad. The issues touched many significant areas, including but not limited to, management of cardiac failure, ways to care for the disease beyond therapeutic norms, epidemiology and its direct link to the disease, relationship between Sympathetic Nervous System and the heart failure, quality of the devises used in heart failure's treatment.
The conference also featured some workshops introduced by a group of cardiologists together with Dr. Mohammed Habab, Dr. Shukri Al-Saif, and Dr. Waleed Al Habeeb. The workshops focused on the strategies that should be adopted to provide heart failure patients with high level of medical treatment, significance of launching initiatives on the disease's remedy, the latest innovative solutions in the field, the need to form a multidisciplinary team to handle the heart failure issues, challenges in the management of patients' over-medication, efforts to boost patient's therapeutic journey from the moment he enters the hospital until his leaves, and the physiology of disease from the latest global trends in this regard, to successful clinical practices.
It's worth mentioning that Novartis has earlier produced a new medicine that have been central to treating heart failure. the medicine proved remarkably effective in motivating the heart muscle, stimulating the Sympathetic Nervous System, and improving the body's natural defenses against heart failure.
