JCCI launches career training program for youth in 13 fields

The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) held a career training program for Saudi job seekers in 13 career fields at Ismail Abu Dawood Hall in Jeddah on Wednesday. The program was organized in cooperation with the National Recruitment Program.

Prior to the event, registration for the training and rehabilitation program was open for two days for the students of public secondary schools, as well as for diploma holders, including technical diplomas and higher qualifications, to give them a chance to work in Jeddah, Makkah and Taif in different companies with a great package of features.
Abid bin Abdullah Al-Akkad, director of the resettlement administration department at JCCI, said that the career program saw a large number of youth interested, and added that the ongoing career training program provides a number of career opportunities for those who have higher qualifications in sales and marketing.

The program provides training in public relations, receptionist work, head of security roles, security guard work, shop assistant work, sales techniques, mechanical and electrical skills, refrigeration and air conditioning skills, as well as skills in various other kinds of maintenance work.
Al-Akkad urged the young job seekers to visit JCCI to submit their applications so that company officials can interview them, and select them according to their skills and qualifications for the available jobs in the sector.

He also stressed that the JCCI and its partners are keen to achieve Saudization and to better qualify Saudi youth to enter the labor market, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and the Human Resources Development Fund.


He urged businessmen, company owners and institutions under the umbrella of the JCCI to help the Saudi youth and give them opportunities for jobs that can help the country.
He assured business owners that JCCI will, in partnership with them, invest all their energies in order to achieve their joint goal of providing jobs to Saudi youth.
