The cross-industry conference brought together business leaders to discuss bottom-line impacts, business models and how to monetize data insights were shared on new technologies and opportunities that are brought by IoT.
According to Johan Ehrstrom, CEO of IoT Middle East 2018, the forum brought together over 350 professional peers, media and inspiring start-ups for an action packed day filled with hands-on case studies, objective insights, real-world scenarios and networking.
The event started with Steve Dunbar IoT Commercial Director, MEA at Microsoft focusing on business to business value and spoke about connectivity and emerging IoT vale chains and partner ecosystems. He also highlighted the top business IoT solutions driving business value.
Dr. Anil Khurana, Head of Digital Practoce at PwC kept the crowd enthralled with his insights on how businesses, consumers and industries have evolved with IoT over time and how it continues to change dramatically with new innovations and IoT playing a role in the changing dynamics of the manufacturing industry.
Enno de Boer Partner and Senior Leader at McKinsey & Company, USA spoke about transforming businesses and harnessing technological disruptions to innovate and create a sustainable performance edge. There was also a live demo by Dubai Civil Aviation Authority on future proofing the drones industry. Bilal Al Hattab of DigiRobotics talked about the role of Robotics in industry.
