Il Baretto Riyadh brings the Italian summer to the Kingdom with seasonal menu and colourful activations

The summer season is starting at Il Baretto, and in celebration, the stylish Italian restaurant is welcoming a host of themed summer activations from June 21 until September. Emulating the glory of long Italian summers, summer at Il Baretto will see a new seasonal menu and colourful décor – transporting guests away from the Kingdom to Italy’s glamorous coastlines and charming hilltop villages.

Launching on June 21, the new menu will bring La Dolce Vita to Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), with a host of refreshing and quintessentially Italian dishes from the country’s most iconic regions. New dishes include a fresh Panzanella salad (cherry tomatoes, celery, bread croutons and burrata) and the beloved Caponata, along with traditional Minestrone con Pesto (summer vegetable soup with pesto) and refreshing Zucchini e Basilico (chilled courgette and basil soup with buffalo ricotta and walnuts) and Gazpacho (chilled tomato soup).

New mains include a creamy Risotto alla Milanese, Sedanini alla Norma (small homemade rigatoni with cherry tomato sauce, aubergines and smoked scamorza cheese) and delicate Ravioli di Burrata (homemade ravioli with mozzarella di buffalo and cherry tomato sauce). A hearty selection of new gnocchi dishes is also available, including Gnocchi Four Cheese (made with gorgonzola, mozzarella, Taleggio and Parmesan), Alla Sorrentina (fresh tomato, basil and Parmesan) and Bolognese, served with a rich meaty sauce. 

Favoured in Italian coastal towns, a Dover Sole and Red Snapper Fillet served with a zingy lemon sauce and summer vegetables also feature, along with marinated bell peppers cooked on Il Baretto’s famed Josper Grill. Desserts include the classic Caffè del Nonno (white expresso cream with almond and pistachio) and a classically Mediterranean Vanilla Crème Brûlée. Authentic gelato will also be served from Il Baretto’s own Instagrammable gelato cart - the perfect accompaniment to a European-style coffee break at the KAFD restaurant. 

Along with the new menu, Il Baretto will also transform its interiors for the season, adding pops of colours and playful touches reminiscent of summers in Italy. 

Summer at Il Baretto runs from June 21 until September, with regular opening hours and reservations and walk-ins welcome.
