Hyundai traffic safety day initiative achieves its goals

Hyundai Motor Company and its authorized dealers in Saudi Arabia, Wallan Trading Company, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors Company and Almajdouie Motors Company, announced the success of “Safety day with Hyundai” initiative in achieving its desired goals, including educating college students of safe driving programs. 

 

After more than 45 days of launching the initiative, which aimed to student girls about traffic laws, regulations and complying with road safety rules under the slogan "Safety day with Hyundai", the initiative concluded with great success, and the interaction of more than 5000 female university students who followed and participated actively in this campaign.

 

The campaign highlighted an array of issues pertinent to road safety, and students were able to ask questions about traffic laws, proper driving methods and safety techniques for all road users. Various promotional materials, including leaflets and flyers, were distributed, urging participants to abide by traffic rules. 

Mike Song, Head of Operations, Hyundai Middle East and Africa, commented on the success of this campaign by saying: “This campaign is part of Hyundai's commitment to social responsibility towards the community in which it operates. It aims to promote a culture of traffic and road safety. Now in this new phase, where Saudi Arabia allows women to drive, we decided to steer this initiative to student girls to urge them to widely share it among their peers and members of their community. This initiative has been supported by safety lectures and briefing on booth to get the message quickly and achieve its objectives followed by test drive. "

He added: "Hyundai hopes to assist community members to enjoy safe driving with Hyundai cars, in addition to raising awareness and improving safety on the road, because we believe that education and awareness always can achieve an improvement in the protection of our communities.”

The campaign was launched from the Western region, specifically from Al Batterji Medical College, and started with lectures and seminars to raise awareness about road safety under the supervision of experts and specialists in this field. The students also participated lectures to be familiar with traffic laws and regulations.

Afterward, the campaign was moved to Riyadh, specifically to the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, where that campaign, through specialized seminars, focused on topics related to road safety measures, correct and safe driving methods as being the basis for the safety of all road users.  

After completion of the second phase, the campaign moved to Dammam, specifically to Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, where many faculty members with students participated in activities of the campaign. At the end of the day, they expressed their wishes to include this campaign in the calendar of the University regular activities for the best interest of all.

Mike Song, expressed his pleasure for the success of the campaign and achieving its goals, and said: ”This campaign reflects the vision and values of Hyundai, which aim to ensure the highest traffic safety levels for all road users, as well as to mitigate the damages caused by traffic accidents, including deaths, injuries property loss.

He added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the campaign, hoping to help promote and support local efforts to promote awareness of the importance of abiding by road safety rules.” 

Noting that this campaign is part of Hyundai Motor Company's commitment to social responsibility towards the community in which it operates, and aims at promoting traffic and road safety culture among students to enable them to spread it widely among their peers and members of their community.
