Huge screens to broadcast AFCON and AFC Asian Cup matches at Sheikh Zayed Festival

Further to the huge range of events and activities taking place at Al Wathba area of Abu Dhabi for the annual Sheikh Zayed Festival 2023-2024, the Festival’s organizing committee announced the installation of huge screens in various areas throughout the festival grounds, including the charming desert Rimal area, to broadcast the AFCON and AFC Asian Cup matches, giving fans a great opportunity to watch the games in the outdoors, surrounded by a large cultural and entertainment gathering that brings together thousands of visitors from around the world.

The screens will give football fans the chance to watch all AFC Asian Cup matches taking place in Qatar from January 12th to February 10th, 2024, with 24 teams participating. The UAE National Football Team plays in the 3rd group, along with Iran, Palestine and Hong Kong. The AFC Asian Cup matches airing at the Festival offers visitors and football fans the chance to enjoy this major sporting event in an exciting setting, alongside the events and entertainment activities held at the Festival.

Visitors to the Sheikh Zayed Festival will  get the chance to follow up on the AFCON matches, as there will also be screens that broadcast the special sporting event held in Côte d'Ivoire between the 13th of January and the 11th of February 2024, again with 24 participating teams, so Festival visitors from around the world can cheer their teams in the wonderful cultural and recreational atmosphere that the Festival offers.

The "Remal” area will also provide screens for all the AFCON and AFC Asian Cup games in a charming outdoor location that combines modernity, luxury, the essence of heritage and the magic of the desert, presenting an incredible variety of seating areas for visitors and a wonderful winter atmosphere to enjoy with family and friends. 

Visitors to the Festival can see all the games live and enjoy the yearly event’s unforgettable moments, cultural, educational and entertainment features being held in various arenas, zones and pavilions of the Festival to suite to all ages. All visitors also have the opportunity to receive valuable cash prizes through the many competitions, along with great offers and discounts when shopping from a wide range of products. The Sheikh Zayed Festival welcomes visitors daily until 9th March 2024, from 4 pm to midnight on weekdays, and until 1 am during weekends and public holidays, enabling them to spend memorable times with family and friends in the joyful outdoor setting, with a large number of events, activities and competitions that suit all age groups.
