In an effort to contribute to the dissemination of the culture of photography and belief in the role played by smartphone cameras in the lives of users, “Huawei Saudi” collaborated with Qumra’s community of photographers to organize a workshop around photography through smartphones by using the latest “HUAWEI Mate20 Pro” phone.
The workshop brought together both amateur and professional photographers in Kingdom. From his side, professional photographer, Hussain Daghriri, highlighted the experience of a number of aspiring, professional photographers, who captured a variety of images, identifying the advantages of the HUAWEI Mate20 Pro in the process. Additionally, filmmaker Faisal AlRakdi shed a light on the HUAWEI Mate20 Pro’s ability to capture videos that compare in quality to feature cinematic films.
The latest imaging technology was also reviewed during the workshop. Thanks to the triple-lens camera co-engineered by Leica, who are specialized in the production of camera lenses. The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro is capable of capturing photographs which compare to those taken through professional camera lenses. The result is a camera system with the highest pixel rate when compared to other smartphones in the market. The system is equipped with a 40mp RGB sensor, 20mp monochrome sensor and 8mp telephoto sensor. In addition, the front camera is equipped with 24mp which is good news for the Selfie enthusiasts.
The workshop also highlighted the features that make the HUAWEI Mate20 Pro the ideal smartphone for photography enthusiasts. It depends on the “Kirin 980” processor, the world’s first 7nm Mobile AI chipset, promises an elevated on-device AI experience with better object recognition, real-time video processing and precise real-time object segmentation due to its image recognition capability of up to 4,500 images per minute. By developing the world's 1st 7nm Mobile AI Chipset, Huawei once again demonstrates its leadership in the On-Device AI space.
In addition, the phone is equipped with three cameras which can cover a wide range of focal length. The equivalent of a focal distance ranging between 16 and 270 mm in the world of photography, allowing the phone to simulate the performance of a professional camera. The smartphone also comes with superior small object imaging performance – the process of capturing photos/videos of close-up objects with extreme precision - which enables the camera to focus on an object as close as 2.5cm — exceeding even the capability of the human eye and allowing users a joyful photography experience with an intuitive smartphone.
The “HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro” uses a slew of features that artificially enhance film and allows users to capture videos based on better frames and colors. The phone also supports the ability to take pictures and videos in 21:9 dimensions in contrast to the standard 16:9 dimension. The 21:9 dimension capability provides a larger and wider angle that can be used to add various artistic and cinematic effects.
