HP brings innovative designs to small and medium businesses with refreshed ProBook 400 series

Incomparable style for your new workforce

In a recent survey of millennials by HP, more than half surveyed told HP that design is important when choosing a PC – and the ProBook 400 series will not disappoint.

HP took this feedback to heart in the ProBook 400 series with a new thinner, slim line wedged design. New color styling called Asteroid Silver and a bright reflective HP logo gives a high-end look without the price and makes fingerprints virtually invisible. The ProBook 400 series also has a new enlarged clickpad with an optimized easy-to-use touch zone. And HP’s devices – while beautiful on the outside – are still built to last, passing MIL-STD 810G testing including drop, shock, vibration, dust and temperature, plus 120,000 hours of HP’s own testing and end-to-end diagnostics.

Where power meets value

The updated ProBook 400 family comprises of five models to meet the needs of a diverse workforce, each packed with an array of business-friendly upgrades. For the constantly on-the-go workforce, the devices feature exceptional battery life of up to 16 hours, with 39 to 54 percent battery life improvements across all models versus the previous generation. Keep in mind that battery life will vary based on the model, configuration, applications and other functionalities in your new ProBook.

Starting at €399, the ProBook 400 series contains the latest 7th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors and 7th Generation A-Series APUs from AMD.  Other key advances in the ProBook 400 series include:

•  NVIDIA® GeForce® 930MX graphics technology for faster performance for applications like photo and video editing. It also provides an overall speed boost by offloading graphics processing and memory from the CPU – freeing up system resources.
• Full HD (FHD) displays (optional) for improved visuals with sharper images and text, bringing documents and web pages to life.
• USB-C™ ports for linking, syncing and charging phones, accessing a true docking experience with the HP Elite USB-C dock and connecting with emerging USB-C peripherals.
• Enterprise-class security with root-level protection through HP BIOSphere; data safeguarding from an embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 security chip; and identity protection through an optional biometric fingerprint reader.

Communicate and collaborate

HP research shows that nearly half of small business owners believe that meetings should run smoother, but technology often gets in the way. To help small businesses overcome these frustrations, the ProBook 400 series now includes features to make online conference calls easier and more productive. HP Audio Boost technology, has been added to help improve voice quality by enhancing speaker loudness and bass levels. HP is introducing bi-directional noise suppression capabilities to its ProBook 400 family to significantly reduce background distractions on both ends of the line. The ProBook 400 series has an embedded feature that detects voice, music or movies and adjusts audio settings automatically to assure the best-possible listening experience.
