For the first time ever, the Middle East is preparing to be part of the third annual Huawei honor World Carnival in April. The global mega sales day is set to soar past last year’s record, which exceeded USD 300 million in revenue and shipments of 2 million devices, with the addition of the Middle East, as one of its most important markets.
The biggest global online sales bonanza and a unique initiative from a smartphone brand, will be brought to the Middle East through several promotions, offers and activations that will run on its e-store www.HonorArabia.com for three days starting on 6th April. This year’s campaign will take place in 17 key countries including many in Europe, and now the US and Middle East, with fan activities, as well as promotions of all kinds.
Chris Sunbaigong, Vice President of Huawei honor commented, “As part of Huawei and honor global, the Middle East market is seen as a key part of the brand’s 100% year-on-year growth and is currently delivering a 15% contribution to Huawei’s extensive progression here. As one of the key global markets, our consumers in the Middle East can now take part in our honor World Carnival for the first time, of which we are very proud.”
Sunbaigong continued, “2016 is the second year of this grand promotion going worldwide - it receives huge attention in many regions and nations, and is of great importance to the brand’s global strategy. The honor World Carnival highlights how we continually strive do things differently by giving back to our end-users – it also allows us to drive brand awareness in what is a relatively new market for us.”
The sale will focus on honor’s top selling 4X device, which launched in the Middle East in August 2015. The device broke sales records every day before selling out within a week and smashed online sales records to become the fastest selling device sold on Souq.com ever.
honor debuted in the global market in 2014 and today its products are available in 74 countries and regions. Known for its high-performance camera and reliable quality, such as fast speed, long-lasting batteries and low levels of radiation and heat, honor is rapidly gaining extensive market share in the world. In 2015, honor stepped up its high-speed development and recorded shipments of more than 40 million units and USD 6 billion in revenue, which is on track to double again this year.
